"Гей-Церковь Сатаны"

В США появилась очередная "Церковь Сатаны" (или, строго говоря, "Храм"), которая отличается от лавеевско-гилморовской не столько идеологией (обе равно либеральны, а веру новой в загробную жизнь трудно воспринимать всерьез), сколько обрядностью - в случае "Храма", заключенной в одних лишь либерально-гейских эпатажных акциях. Впрочем, элемент осквернения делает их яркость ненулевой.

Сатанисты провели на могиле матери гомофобного священника Фелпса ритуал, который сделает ее лесбиянкой "в загробной жизни"

Группа сатанистов под названием Храм Сатаны провела "розовую мессу" на могиле матери лидера баптистской церкви Вестборо Фреда Фелпса. Они утверждают, что "теперь, в загробной жизни, она стала лесбиянкой". Об этом сообщает PinkNews. 

Храм Сатаны разместил фотографии в Интернете, на которых видно, как однополые пары "выражают свою любовь", целуясь над могилой Кэтрин Джонстон, матери Фреда Фелпса-младшего. 

На сайте westboro-baptist.com, который принадлежит Храму Сатаны и никак не связан с церковью с таким же названием, размещены снимки церемонии и описание ритуалов. Там написано: "Кэтрин Идалетт Джонстон (Catherine Idalette Johnston), жене Фреда У. Фелпса-старшего (Fred W Phelps, Sr), матери основателя баптистской церкви Вестборо Фреда Фелпса-младшего (Fred Phelps, Jr), была оказана честь на церемонии "Розовая месса", которую провела группа Храм Сатаны на ее могиле. Розовая месса - сатанинский ритуал, который проводится на могилах умерших и который меняет их сексуальную ориентацию в загробной жизни". И далее: "Однополые пары выразили свою любовь на могиле матери Фреда Фелпса-младшего в присутствии верховного жреца Храма Сатаны, который зачитал заклинание. По завершению Розовой мессы Кэтрин Джонстон стала лесбиянкой в загробной жизни". 

Непреклонно гомофобная церковь Фелпса известна своими частыми попытками пикетировать похороны и мероприятия, которые они считают прогеевскими. В прошлом месяце члены церкви обиделись на стенд с розовым лимонадом, за которым стояла 5-летняя девочка, выступавшая против высмеиваний в школе. Баптисты сказали, что она "будет гореть в аду".  

Ранее представители церкви написали в Twitter, что Господь подослал головорезов для совершения убийства солдата в лондонском районе Вулвич, так как законопроект о равных правах на брак прошел третье чтение в Палате представителей. А до этого они благодарили Господа за разрушительный торнадо, который обрушился на город Мур в штате Оклахома и унес жизни по крайней мере 24 человек. По их мнению, это было наказанием за баскетболиста-гея Джейсона Коллинза (Jason Collins). На этой неделе баптисты из церкви Фелпса обещали пикетировать похороны актера Кори Монтейта, сыгравшего одну из главных ролей в популярном у ЛГБТ-сообщества сериале "Хор".

Полноты ради добавим, что позднее в этом же году, к рождеству, тот же "сатанинский храм" попал в новости благодаря еще одной либерально-эпатажной выходке - а именно, предложению установить в капитолиях штатов Оклахома и Флорида "сатанинские декорации". Если в случае с Оклахомой это было "ответом" на установку в здании монумента в честь "десяти заповедей" (по поводу чего сейчас идет судебный процесс), то во Флориде окололавеисты припозднились с реакцией на поставленные в капитолии "рождественские ясли", сразу за которыми свои поделки стали предлагать разномастные атеисты. В обоих случаях "храм" потерпел неудачу.

Satanists test Oklahoma’s religious freedoms by offering monument

The Satanic Temple, a New York City-based religious organization, has offered to donate a monument on behalf of Oklahoma Satanists for display upon the capital grounds. 

In an email-interview with Hemant Mehta, the Temple’s spokesman, Lucien Greaves, explained why the organization wanted to erect a monument to Satan on the capital grounds. “[B]y accepting our offer,” he said, “the good people of Oklahoma City will have the opportunity to show that they espouse the basic freedoms spelled out in the Constitution … Allowing us to donate a monument would show that the Oklahoma City Council does not discriminate, and both the religious and non-religious should be happy with such an outcome.” 

Greaves linked the Oklahoma donation to a larger effort to demonstrate that bills designed to promote Christianity in public places — including schools and government-run parks and buildings — “instead promoted religious diversity.” 

“Obviously enabling Satanists to take advantage of the Bill was not considered when the legislation was drafted,” he told Mehta, but “the fact is that laws cannot be discriminatory.” He believes that there is no “legal basis upon which they could possibly reject” the Temple’s offer, because “they set the precedent themselves, and they simply can’t reject a monument on the grounds that it its being donated by Satanists rather than a Baptist Deacon.” 

There is some debate as to whether the Satanic Temple is an actual satanic group, or merely a satirical one, Greaves asks, “[w]hy can’t it be both?”

Hindus, Satanists banned from putting up monuments at Oklahoma Capitol

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — After hearing from Satanists, Hindus and an animal rights group, the panel that oversees the grounds at the Oklahoma Capitol says it's not taking any more requests for new displays at the Statehouse. 

The Oklahoma Capitol Preservation Commission voted Thursday to approve the ban until a court dispute over the current Ten Commandments monument is settled. It was that monument that the New York-based Satanic Temple said opened the door for it to seek its own display at the Statehouse in Oklahoma City. 

That was followed by similar requests from a Hindu leader in Nevada, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, and the satirical Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. 

"At this time, I believe action by the (commission) on any of these requests would be premature given that the lawsuit has yet to be decided," said Commission Chairman Trait Thompson.

The state Department of Management Services on Wednesday denied an attempt by "Satanists" to put up a display in the Florida Capitol, which currently showcases a Nativity scene, a Festivus pole made of beer cans, posters from atheists, and a crudely made Flying Spaghetti Monster. 

"The department's position is that your proposed display is grossly offensive during the holiday season," DMS Administrative Assistant Sherrie K. Routt emailed a group calling itself the Satanic Temple 

Lucien Greaves, a spokesman for the temple, said in an email the group was "surprised and dismayed" by the rejection. However, before possibly challenging the decision, the temple is seeking clarification from DMS as it had initially been advised the display had been approved and that "written confirmation is forthcoming," Greaves said.

The group initially requested putting up a 5-foot-by-5-foot poster that featured "religious symbols and images" on Dec. 9. In the application, the group explained that the public service intended was to "contribute to the plurality of the community by representing the spirit of good will from other faiths." 

The group would later send DMS a photo of the proposed display that bannered the phrase "Happy holidays from the Satanic Temple" atop a diorama of an angel falling into hell. A sign on one side of the display referenced Luke 10:18 including the line, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven." 

After the Florida Prayer Network's Christian Nativity scene was set up in the first floor of the Capitol on Dec. 3, DMS has approved requests for space in the rotunda for a 6-foot-tall "Festivus" pole made of Pabst Blue Ribbon cans by South Florida political blogger Chaz Stevens and seasonal signs from the Tallahassee Atheists, The American Atheists Florida Regional Directors and the Madison, Wis.-based Freedom From Religion Foundation.
Also, on Tuesday, the department approved a display that included an office chair and shredded paper depicting spaghetti for the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
